Name History
The name Hojoki is from the first two letters of our last names, but Hōjōki(方丈記) is also a Japanese word which is translated as "an account of my hut". For more info on this word click here. Although it is a very unsual coincidence, we are not associated with the meaning of Japanese version of this word. Weird.
 
What's in the Name?

We started calling ourselves the Hojoki's one night when we were ordering pizza. Since we didn't always know who's name it would be under we just put it under Hojoki (which is a combination of all our last names). The name sounded good and we wouldn't get anyone elses pizza.
